FISHERMAN’S WHARF
This historical part of San Francisco gets its name from the city’s early days of the mid to later 1800s when fishermen came to support the influx of people seeking their wealth during the gold rush. Today, it still has a small fishing fleet and is home to Pier 39, Red & White Fleet, Ghirardelli Square, the Historic Cable Car turnarounds and Boudin Bakery, famous for its sourdough breads, Alcatraz Landing with tours to the world famous formerly Alcatraz Penitentiary, not to mention restaurants featuring delicious foods of all kinds. All is located within approximately 0.5 miles of the hotel.
