North Star Casino
Commissioned in 1993, the North Star was built at Bender Shipyards in Mobile, Alabama, and took almost a year to complete. The vessel arrived in North Kansas City in July 1994 and opened its doors on September 22 that same year. The North Star left Harrah's North Kansas City on August 3rd, 2001, for Metropolis, Illinois. The vessel arrived in Metropolis during the first week of September. The North Star opened on September 12th and serves as the home of Harrah's Metropolis Casino.
The North Star underwent a complete renovation prior to opening in Metropolis. The renovation plan includes a new floor layout, design plan, wall treatments, lighting, carpeting and furnishings. In addition new slot machines and table games were added. Capacity: 1,800 guests and 380 employees Horsepower: 2,200 Weight: 2,170 gross tons; 1,755 net tons Length: 259.3 feet with paddlewheel Square Footage: 53,828 Features: 3 gaming floors, 1 pilot house with offices and breakroom and 1 lower deck with offices
The hotel charges a resort Fee of $13.51 plus tax (total $15.00) per day. Amenities will include the following:

Redemption: The Food Credit is per stay per room and can be used at all hotel food outlets (no bars). To redeem the Food credit, customer must provide a valid credit card upon arrival. Customer must charge their food back to their room in order for the credit to apply. No more than the specified amount per stay per room will automatically be removed regardless of the number of guests per room. Cash refunds will not be offered to customers for any reason for this food credit. Management reserves all rights. Customers may use the food credit at any Caesars Entertainment owned food outlets at Harrah’s Metropolis and charge it back to their room.

A mask is not required while in sleeping rooms or while eating and drinking. Masks are also not required at outdoor venues, i.e. the pool.
